You can apply for an extension. Here is what you need to know:
Districts can request extensions of ARP ESSER funds through their state education agency. States must seek permission from the Education Department.
If approved, districts may extend the liquidation period of ARP ESSER funds up to 14 months beyond the current deadline of January 28, 2025. The new deadline would be March 2026.
Multi-year contracts for software may be permissible, check with your state education agency.
