Newsela Educator Spotlight: Nikole Richardson

The Newsela Team
Nov 25, 2019

Our December Spotlight showcases an educator that really puts Newsela in action with her students. Nikole Richardson teaches “Professional Success” at Miramar High School in Broward County Florida. Prior to her 7 years as an educator, she had a career in business and wanted to take that experience to support students to make more informed college and career choices.

As a Newsela Certified Educator, Nikole shares Newsela content frequently with her students and has helped support other educators at her high school develop text sets to embed in their planning. In October Nikole hosted a Newsela Meetup PLC for 25 of her colleagues using resources she found on the Newsela Educator Center
